FAQ

Dental implant questions, answered

Everything you might be wondering about dental implants and All-On-4 — and how care works at our Mission Viejo practice.

General

What are dental implants?

Dental implants are small, biocompatible titanium posts that act as artificial tooth roots. Once placed in the jaw, they provide a strong, stable foundation for a custom crown, bridge, or full arch of replacement teeth that look, feel, and function like natural teeth.

What makes Premier Dental Implant Centers different?

Our focus is dental implants, and that focus shows. Patients choose us for our transparent pricing, experienced dentists, patient-centered approach, and modern techniques. From your first call to your final result, our goal is a comfortable experience and a smile you feel proud of.

Candidacy & Eligibility

Am I a good candidate for dental implants?

Most people with one or more missing or failing teeth are candidates for dental implants. The best way to know for certain is a personalized evaluation, where we review your oral health, jawbone, and goals. If additional steps such as bone grafting are needed, we will walk you through your options.

Will I need a bone graft?

Not everyone needs a bone graft. If a tooth has been missing for a while, the jawbone may have lost some volume, and a graft can help rebuild a strong foundation for an implant. During your consultation we use an exam and imaging to determine whether grafting is recommended for your situation.

The Procedure & Recovery

Is the dental implant procedure painful?

Your comfort is a priority throughout treatment. The procedure is performed using local anesthesia, and sedation options may be available, so most patients feel little to nothing during placement. Mild soreness for a few days afterward is normal and is typically managed with over-the-counter or prescribed medication.

What is the recovery and healing time?

Many patients return to their normal routine the day after surgery. The implant then fuses with the jawbone over a period of several weeks to a few months in a process called osseointegration. We provide clear aftercare instructions and check in along the way to support smooth healing.

What happens during the consultation?

Your consultation is a relaxed, no-pressure conversation about your goals. We review your dental and health history, examine your mouth, take any necessary imaging, and discuss which options may be right for you. You will leave with a clear understanding of your treatment plan and costs.

All-On-4

What are All-On-4 dental implants?

All-On-4 is a full-arch restoration that replaces an entire row of upper or lower teeth using just four strategically placed implants. The angled placement takes advantage of available bone, often reducing the need for grafting and allowing a secure, fixed set of teeth that stays in place.

Can I get new teeth in one day with All-On-4?

In many cases, patients can leave their appointment with a fixed set of temporary teeth on the same day their implants are placed. Your final, custom prosthesis is fitted after your implants have fully integrated with the bone. We will confirm what is possible for you at your consultation.

Cost, Insurance & Financing

How much do dental implants cost?

We believe in transparent pricing. A single dental implant starts at $1,995, which covers your consultation, surgery, and crown. Pricing may vary based on your individual needs, and additional procedures such as bone grafting are quoted separately. Contact our office for a personalized estimate.

Is the $1,995 price all-inclusive?

The $1,995 single-implant fee covers the consultation, implant surgery, and crown. Some patients need additional treatment first, such as a bone graft or extraction, which is quoted separately so there are no surprises. Your written treatment plan will always spell out exactly what is included.

Do you accept dental insurance?

Yes. We accept most dental insurance plans and are happy to help you understand your coverage and maximize your available benefits. Because coverage varies by plan, we recommend contacting our office so we can review the specifics of your policy with you.

Do you offer financing options?

Absolutely. We understand every patient has unique financial needs, so we offer flexible financing options designed to fit a range of budgets. Ask our team about monthly payment plans during your consultation, and we will help you find an option that works for you.

Longevity & Aftercare

How long do dental implants last?

With good oral hygiene and regular checkups, dental implants are designed to be a long-term solution and can last many years. The crown or prosthesis attached to the implant may eventually show wear and need replacement over time, much like other dental restorations.

How do I care for my dental implants?

Caring for implants is a lot like caring for natural teeth: brush twice a day, clean between your teeth daily, and keep up with routine dental visits. We will give you personalized hygiene guidance so your new smile stays healthy and comfortable for the long run.
